There were some great villians here, Mieville made them very rich in nastiness.... creepy creepy creepy. I didnt really get their motivations to try to end the world though... why?

Well, maybe it WAS the language, there were a lot of references here with cultural idioms that maybe I was missing something????

Maybe there was a mythological reference that went over my head????
