Admin Posts: 4006 Location: Dallas, Texas | The list continues to grow while our Ubers are away. Your continued patience is much appreciated. The List That Never Ends:
Ubers, these are the Astounding Award for Best New Writer missing nominees:
The works cited are the ones that got them noticed for the award. They may have written more works since then so add as many as you like for each author.

Regular Posts: 99 Location: Belgium | I asked this already, but it might have been overlooked. Could you add László Krasznahorkai's "A Mountain to the North, A Lake to the South, Paths to the West, A River to the East"? The book has clear speculative/fantasy elements, as it is about a prince living outside of space and time, searching for a monastery that's also timeless. First published in Hungarian in 2003, and published in English translation in 2022. Edited by Bormgans 2023-04-12 5:00 AM

Admin Posts: 4006 Location: Dallas, Texas | Bormgans - 2023-04-12 4:59 AM I asked this already, but it might have been overlooked. Could you add László Krasznahorkai's "A Mountain to the North, A Lake to the South, Paths to the West, A River to the East"? That one is on the list already at #22. I keep putting missing award nominated books at the top of the list and its slowing down the main list getting completed. We'll get there eventually.

Veteran Posts: 182 Location: Rockford, IL | Please add Starship's Mage by Glynn Stewart, Faolan's Pen Publishing - book 1 of the Starship's Mage series. Also please add book 2 in the series Hand Of Mars, same author and publisher. Those are the only two in my TBR pile at the moment, but I know there are more in the series. Thank you, Kerry aka Trouble

Uber User Posts: 857 Location: The Wilds of Washington | >The Remarkable Retirement of Edna Fisher -- E. M. Anderson >Bravely by Maggie Stiefvater >HG Parry's Magician's Daughter All In. >Starship's Mage -- Glynn Stewart >Hand of Mars -- Glynn Stewart This series is self-published. I know it looks like our prohibition against self-published works has relaxed lately, but those books had award nominations somewhere in the series (if it was a series.). So I think the old rules apply with this series. >Uranova -- Lenka Elbe I'd like to put this one in, but I can't find an actual English edition to buy, only samples translated from Czech. Once there is an English edition, or someone points one out, fine.
