Cortezar is not in the ISFD. I'm going to skip it but if someone wants to argue for it, now is the time. Answer me this: what genre, that we cover, would it fit in? and why?

I'm going to skip it but if someone wants to argue for it, now is the time. Answer me this: what genre, that we >cover, would it fit in? and why? Hi! I asked for this and it's a little bit my fault for going fancy with the spelling of his name - there's an accent mark there that the page couldn't read and so his name went to the list a little wrongly. Julio Cortazar is very much in the ISFD https://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/ea.cgi?6643 and this story collection is pure magical realism, filled with fantastical creatures and surreal happenings. I hope this is enough

I hope this is enough Thank you for the prompt response. There was a complete mix up with this one and this helped clarify things. Cortazar was already in the database for other works and doing a search for him on our site doesn't seem to work. And when one looks at the synopsis for the book on Amazon, it looks straight up literary fiction. Bumps in the Road. It's always something.

I'm glad it worked out now, but it's tricky indeed with these special characters. For example, you can't search for China Mieville either with only his last name because he also has an accent mark there. Maybe it's something the famed third version of the site could address whenever it comes about?

Veteran Posts: 256 Location: California | Can you add Contraband from Otherspace by A Bertram Chandler as a separate book? It's already in as an ACE double with Into the Alternate Universe but I don't have that book. I think it was orginally published by ACE as a stand alone in 1967.

It's already in as an ACE double with Into the Alternate Universe but I don't have that book. I think it was orginally published by ACE as a stand alone in 1967. This book is in the database three times. Twice as two different ace doubles, and then in an omnibus for the John Grimes series. I think that is more than enough.

Admin Posts: 4006 Location: Dallas, Texas | lisagarrity - 2023-09-11 6:00 PM So what do I choose when I have the stand alone and not any of the doubles or the omnibus? It's been added as a stand alone so you can check it off your list. I don't mind having multiple entries for the same story if they're in different formats like this one.
